Gary Kuykendall, PT CSCS
Gary is currently a physical therapist at Ortho Montana. He participated as a runner/jumper in track and field: high school and college- these are the running events
- Ran the open 440 yds (gives away my age) and one leg on mile relay
- Ran the 220 in relays for 880 yds
- Competed in 180 yd low hurdles
He trained by doing timed 440 yds of 60 seconds (6 reps), sprints of 220 yds (4 reps), and occasional 330yd ¾ speed “strides” ( 4 reps) – these were on conditioning days, and good form was a part of the workout. He had rest periods of 1-2 minutes in between reps on 440yds, and the time it took to walk across the football field for 220 yds or 330 yds. He did not have any distances runs, as I was classified as a “sprinter and jumper”. You can contact Gary at gkuykendall@montanabone.com
Gary is a graduate of the University of New England and Eastern Montana College. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist and a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. He has experience working in orthopedic outpatient and nursing home/acute care/hospital settings.
