Power Program
Six weeks, sheer determination and 110%. It's what the AMP Power Session demands. But for athletes who want to build the explosive speed, strength and endurance, the sacrifice is more than worth it.
The Power session is an intensive 6-week training regimen that incorporates agility, endurance, power and speed training to improve athletic performance-regardless of their sport. Each week, athletes complete agility drills, upper and lower body plyometrics, functional strength training and speed conditioning to further develop and enhance individual performance.
Each Power session will help improve:
SPEED
Using a specialized high-speed treadmill, capable of reaching speeds of over 25 mph with the ability to incline 25% and decline 12%. Athletes are harnessed in while they participate in various sessions that focus on running form, acceleration, over-speed, eccentric contractions, agility and anaerobic conditioning.
EXPLOSIVENESS
Through plyometric and functional strength training drills, athletes will increase core, strength, explosiveness, vertical jumping ability, quickness and reaction time.
AGILITY
Upper and lower extremity drill work is used to improve balance, coordination, multi-directional movements, balance and foot speed.
ENDURANCE
While participating in the regular program activities, athletes see an increase in aerobic and anaerobic endurance and conditioning.
All procedures, programs and protocols of the POWER program have been scientifically designed and developed, and have been reviewed, evaluated and approved by AMP's sports medicine physicians. And each participant is monitored by our experienced staff to maintain their safety and help prevent injuries.
